Enjoying Jackson

We (Elliott, Elliott's parents, and I) went to Jackson Hole for the weekend. We loved it. Elliott's brother Graham and his wife Kate have been living up here this summer and working for Mad River white water rafting company. (Best rafting rides and guides found here) The weather was so refreshing. I think it was 65 degrees which is a great break from the hot SL weather. It's making us excited for fall weather to come (sweatshirts, fall colors, football games).

On Friday we went on two rafting trips. One scenic and one white water. We. loved. them. This was Elliott's first time on the river and he already wants to come back. Here's a picture from the white water ride:

We went to the Bunnery in town for breakfast. This has always been a family tradition to go here for breakfast with Beth's side of the family so it was cool to go with Elliott's fam. mmm biscuits and gravy!

After breakfast we made our way over to Jenny Lake which is right by the Tetons. This lake is gorgeous and I could spend all day there. We went down by the edge of the lake to skip rocks, dip our feet, and enjoy a snack only to be met by a little french boy about 7 or 8 telling us we couldn't go down there and that he, his momma and papa had already claimed their territory. We went down anyways only to have rocks thrown at us by said skinny french boy. We had fun anyways.

Someday we WILL climb this beautiful mountain with everything we need on our backs.

It's hard to beat a trip up to Jackson with a free place to stay, two free rafting rides (thanks graham and kate), and traveling with family that we don't see very often. Regardless, we already want to go back to all the beautiful flowers (they were everywhere: both potted and wild) fall weather (temperatures were in the low 70's mid 60's. Can't wait for fall!) and fresh air.
