Elliethuation
We are now U o U alumni! It's weird that only two days ago I was sitting in the library jamming for my physics final, and now we are college graduates. We went to three separate ceremonies yesterday and today: college of health (beth) last night, university commencement this morning, and college of humanities (elliott) this afternoon. 3 ceremonies= a lot of pictures of people in robes.
I gave my stole of gratitude to my mom (and dad who was at work during this picture). Thank you guys for all you do. I don't know how anyone could have better parents.
Our speaker at commencement was Mitch Albom who wrote Tuesdays with Morrie and The Five People you meet in heaven. He was actually a really great speaker. If you haven't read any of his books, I highly suggest them.
The rest of today was spent catching up with Elliott's parents and brother Graham, who are in town this weekend. We had a graduation party tonight so we BBQ'd in our backyard and enjoyed the spring weather that finally decided to show up in SLC.
Even though we're both taking a few summer classes, it feels great to be done with semesters full of endless homework. We've both loved the U and it will be sad to leave, whenever that is. We'll both be taking a few classes in the future, but most of the work is done.
Now? Time for summer

Havasupai. We've been wanting to go here for years and some friends invited us this year. We are going to hike in, camp, and swim. Can't wait to sleep under the stars! (Remember our new tent??)

I hate you Physics
Alright people, Elliott and I have officially past the slob threshold. You know that point of the week I've talked about were all the dishes are sitting comfortably in the sink and you're eating breakfast out of a tupperware with a probably dirty spon? Yeah, we passed that at the end of last week. We're going on week two now. No clean dishes, no food. Don't judge.
When a 12 hour day at school (going on 12 and 1/2) slaps you in the face (like today), There's only two things to do:
1. Give in and fall asleep on your homework

or
2. Power through it to finish your last semester without regrets
Today, I chose #2, but that's not to say I'm not guilty of #1 every now and then.
Elliott just picked me up from school after his night class, I'm now home with a plate of taquitos and gearing up for more homework.
The best thing that came out of this day? A 100% on my physics test.

Day 3
It's only day three of the new school semester, and I'm already exhausted. I guess it has something to do with waking up a 6:15 every morning to catch the bus for 7:30 class. I was nodding off in Biomechanics yesterday and today I got home from school and took an accidental nap (I never do this). Note to self: go to bed earlier and stop staying up until midnight watching Teen Mom.
Elliott, on the other hand, says he feels more energized since the semester started. Ok....weird Elliott.

My happy thought that is getting me through this semester: graduation in 3 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days. Trip to Boston to follow and possibly Cape Cod, and if I have it my way, a rafting or backbacking trip in Glacier National Park or Teton National Park as well. It would only take about 12 hours to drive to Montana (bottom picture) and 6 to get to the Tetons (top). Honestly, I'd drive days for these two.
